What’s new with the KSC home jersey?

Karlsruher SC has unveiled its blue home kit for the 2026/27 season, featuring Karlsruhe’s city coat of arms as the central design element. An abstracted version of the crest covers the front, while an inner band at the back of the neck bears the Latin motto “Fidelitas” – a nod to the city’s centuries‑old loyalty tradition.

Why does the design matter to the club?

The club wants the kit to visualise its deep connection to the hometown. “Fidelitas” originates from the 1715 house order of loyalty founded by Margrave Karl Wilhelm. For KSC today it means loyalty to the city, to the colours and to each other. White inserts on the sleeves and collar complete the blue‑white look and reinforce the slogan “Meine Heimat.”

How sustainable is the new jersey?

As with every KSC product, the jersey is made from recycled material – each piece equals roughly thirteen 0.5‑liter plastic bottles. The manufacturer stresses that production cuts CO₂ emissions sharply while keeping performance quality high for players and supporters.

How does the jersey fit the current season?

KSC currently sits 10th in the 2. Bundesliga, 44 points, 12 wins, 8 draws and 14 losses from 34 games, with recent form LDWLL. The team has scored 53 and conceded 64 goals, a –11 goal difference, and trails league leaders FC Schalke 04 by 26 points. The new kit aims to boost morale, exploit home advantage and climb the mid‑table.

What does this mean for fans?

Supporters can buy the jersey in a limited run, with the city crest serving as a badge of local identity. The club plans pop‑up stalls in Schlossgarten where fans can feel the fabric and learn the coat‑of‑arms history. Thus the jersey blends tradition, eco‑consciousness and sporting ambition into one experience.
