Karlsruher SC has signed midfielder Tim Civeja from Saarbrücken. The 24-year-old comes from the 3. Liga and played 35 times in the last season. Civeja has played for Saarbrücken for the past three seasons. In the last season, he made 35 appearances in the league, scoring five goals and providing seven assists. He also played three times for FC Augsburg in the Bundesliga. "Tim is a midfielder with a lot of game intelligence, commitment, grip and tempo. His playing style has convinced us and we are happy that he will strengthen our KSC in the central midfield," said Sport Director Mario Eggimann about the former junior international, who has played for the German U18 and U19 and the Albanian U21. Leon Opitz, on the other hand, is leaving Karlsruher again. The 21-year-old midfielder is returning to his parent club Werder Bremen after the purchase option was not exercised.
