As the second-division club announced, 19-year-old Offensivspieler Jason Ponente Ramirez is coming from the youth academy of 1. FC Köln. The contract duration of the versatile talent was not disclosed. "With Jason Ponente Ramirez, we have won another young, development-capable player who brings a lot of potential. He has not only recently demonstrated his qualities in the DFB Youth League for the U19 of 1. FC Köln, but has also gained experience in the UEFA Youth League", said Geschäftsführer Mario Eggimann about the son of a Greek-Spanish mother and an Italian father. The training start of the Karlsruher is scheduled for June 28 - then under the leadership of Maximilian Senft. The 36-year-old comes from the Austrian top-flight club SV Ried and takes over from Christian Eichner.
